Wow!
My first blog post!
Writing this is giving me all the feels.
What started as a dream to capture special memories, has over the last 8 years grown into more than just a hobby.
Its grown into a passion!
I absolutely love capturing love stories and bringing them to life through photography while freezing time for just a moment.
This dream of mine started in high school! One day I decided I wanted to take a photography elective and I am so glad I did! It was there that I learned I had an eye for capturing details and a love for the photography world.
I remember the feel of the photo paper in the developer solution. I remember the DIY pinhole cameras we made. I also remember spending hours learning to roll my own film in the dark room. That was a challenge! haha
Fast forward to a few years out of high school! I bought my very first “professional” camera! The Nikon D3200. I was so excited! I spent the first little while taking photos of friends, flowers and my dog just trying to get practice.
In 2013 KT Kaptures was born! I photographed my first newborn session that year and by 2014 I had photographed my first wedding. I look back at those photos now and cringe. We all start somewhere right?!
When I first came up with Kt Kaptures, I wanted a name that would set me apart from the others. So I used my first and last initial and intentionally spelled Captures wrong to draw attention to the name. And while this name will always be a part of who I am…
A shift is happening
I am no longer that beginner photographer who quite honestly didn’t know know what I was doing when I first started. In the last 8 years I’ve had a ton of growth, learned a lot, perfected my style and have of course upgraded my gear (hello mirrorless!) all for a better experience for my clients.
And with that, a new beginning is being aligned.
Keesha Kae Photography.
A total rebrand! This has been a long time in the making and I have felt this shift coming for a while now. I know this is a big change, but I am so excited for whats to come!
I can’t wait to continue learning and growing! I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for your continued support year after year. I am so blessed with such AMAZING clients!
Thank you <3
